The Osterfen Whippet UK Home is on the edge of the very beautiful Vale of Belvoir which is on the edge of the Lincolnshire and Leicestershire border in the UK.
The first Whippet to carry the newly acquired affix in 1978 was a silver fawn dog called Osterfen Spider, he was a grandson of the very well known Beseeka Knight Errant of Silkstone and was the start of my love for showing.
I had a lot of fun learning about the world of dog showing with my whippets and some high moments and some not so high !!!
Two Years later a pretty silver brindle bitch Whinchat of Osterfen arrived but try as I might she would not enjoy showing, so she became my first brood bitch, she was mainly Dondelayo and Samarkands breeding and she produced Osterfen Snow White, who was having a super career when she was tragically killed at only 17 months old.
Whinchat was then mated to my new boy Hawk Moth of Osterfen and they produced Osterfen Turtle Dove at Triken, she was then mated to Selinko Nice Fella who was litter brother to Selinko Another Lady, this mating produced Triken Harlequin, he was then put to Silkstone Heiress and this produced Triken Mischief of Osterfen (Tilly) She is the Dam to Ch: Osterfen Beacon Beige (Onion) and Ch: Osterfen Amber Nymph (Amber) and the Grand Dam of Ch: Osterfen Tears in Heaven (Hayley) Ch Osterfen Diamond at Selinko (Tallow), Osterfen Marcasite JW 1RCC (Zeta) and Osterfen Lilac Wine (Lilac).
Ch: Osterfen Tears in Heaven was mated to Multi Ch: Blue Spring's Coffee & Cream which has produced Osterfen Macy Gray and Osterfen Eminem both winning a RCC. Osterfen Macy Gray was mated to Ch: Danluke Lord of the Dance producing Osterfen Seculus she was the only puppy so stayed with us, unfortunately she did not like showing at all so in 2019 we mated her to Ch: Collooney Eye Love you at Stonefox and she produced a fabulous litter of seven the one to stay with us was Osterfen Janus (Moki) one of his sisters Osterfen Aphrodite (Bella) going to live at Stonefox. They both hit the show season in December 2019 with great success and qualifying for Crufts 2020. with Moki winning Minor Puppy Dog, Best Puppy dog and then Best Puppy in Breed wow what a day that was. Bella also winning 2nd in Minor Puppy Bitch. Unfortunatley then it all stopped due to Covid 19 no more shows as a puppy.
Osterfen are Uk breeders of Whippets and Siamese in Lincolnshire & sometimes have Puppies and Kittens available.
